    Can I switch between packages?

    Absolutely. We want this to be a risk-free investment for you. If you want to increase the level of support, just let us know and we will action that straight away. If you need to dial down support from a higher tier, that’s fine too. We will just port across any remaining minimum term at the lower price point.

    Am I tied into a long contract?

    We never want to make you feel like this is an excessively long commitment. Yes, we want you as a customer for the long term but we do that by continuing to provide outstanding value. There is no minimum term on the Bronze package, unless you have downgraded your account from a higher tier with an outstanding minimum term. For the silver and gold tiers, any minimum term will be as short as possible. For the Silver tier, that is 6 months. For the Gold tier, we look at it on a case by case basis.

    Do you have any practical experience?

    Yes! Unlike some compliance companies, our team has spent their time on the front line. We are mainly ex-practising lawyers, so we know exactly the challenges and burdens of running a busy legal practice. In fact, that’s why we set up this business – we could see the pain points of compliance that were not being addressed very well. We have been advising law firms on risk and compliance for over a decade, so there aren’t many scenarios we haven’t come across.

    How do you avoid compliance being the tail that wags the dog?

    By understanding that law is both a profession and a business. Our team is instructed to take a very pragmatic and commercial view of compliance and risk. Think of us as enablers, not blockers. It helps that the SRA rules have given us a degree of flexibility to work with. So long as the core ethical principles are treated as sacrosanct, the rest of the rules require a certain amount of interpretation. You can only do that with an element of experience.
