We have been instructed to search for a senior compliance specialist to join one of Cardiff’s top legal firms. The business is a true “rising star”, and this is a rare opportunity for the right person to join at a senior level.
The position
Our client is recruiting a full time deputy COLP to manage all aspects of the firm’s regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will work as a senior member of an established compliance team and report directly to the COLP. The role is based in Cardiff, although there is some scope to work partly out of the Bristol office. The role is likely to involve occasional travel to the firm’s other UK offices.
The firm is willing to pay a competitive salary to the right person.
The person
You will ideally be a qualified solicitor, although non-lawyers will also be considered. The important thing is that you are able to demonstrate practical experience of compliance and risk management (including Lexcel) in a medium-large law firm, and are able to engage at all levels of the business. A knowledge of personal injury, insurance and private client work would be advantageous.
